Wise Souls Speak Loudly in Silence

Fall is Beautiful and nostalgic; it is a time for change. Transformation fills the air as the leaves change colors.

The vibrant reds, oranges, and pinks are showing up as a physical reminder that while change can be scary, it is also beautiful.

Fall is the best season to find a new perspective, as we leave the carefree days of summer behind.

In fall there are equal parts dark and light as echoed in the painting with equal parts of saturated and light colors. This shows the need to balance bright and shiny with quiet and still. In fall we find the quiet spots where the soul speaks. These quiet spots are the slow and steady where the soul is allowed to grow.

It is the time for letting go and releasing things that have been a burden. As the wind blows and leaves and fall to ground, we should get out of the way and let our spirit take charge.  It’s time to stand up and say here I am- I am fully equipped; I have new and unique gifts to bestow upon the world.

This is the artist statement and piece about my interpretation of Fall that won third place in the Creative Bones Fall 2020 Juried show. I am so blessed to share it with you.
